The Who Is You



They say there are 10,000 steps for walking
If you want to improve your life
And if you do it daily you'll
Walk 2,000 steps a mile

They say there are 16 steps to recovery
An alternative to the twelve
It works great for sexual addictions
Gamblers and alcoholics as well

There are 5 steps to deal with grieving 
When terminal illness hovers near
Goes from denial to acceptance
When the anger disappears

There are 4 steps to change behaviours
Usually of the compulsive kind
Like unrealistic fears and phobias
That mess with an otherwise normal mind

They say there are just 3 steps to get started
To live your life anew
But what you really need to take
Is a first step in accepting the who is you
